RESPONSIBILITIES: Seeking candidate to support the VH-71 Presidential Helicopter Program at Patuxent River, MD. Relocation is required.
Applicant selected will be subject to a security pre-screening with a subsequent government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A Top Secret security clearance with Presidential Support Yankee/White Access will be required. Applicant will be responsible for day to day operations of Aviation Life Support Systems at the Presidential Helicopter Support Facility to include:
Maintaining the survival equipment used on board the aircraft and worn by aircrew. Maintenance includes inspection, testing, certification, repair, and assembly of aircrew life support equipment. Equipment includes helmets, survival vests and components to include radios, beacons, strobe lights, pyrotechnics, and various other survival items. Certifying aircrew life support equipment for all missions. Ensures aircraft are properly configured with proper types and numbers of aircrew life support equipment dependent on destination and mission being flown. Ensuring all components operate within specified tolerances and in proper sequence in accordance with technical manuals, repairs, and modification instructions. Maintaining all required records for associated flight equipment in accordance with industry and military standards and programs.
Position Requirements: Minimum of three years experience maintaining Aviation Life Support System/Flight Equipment. Extensive hands-on military experience and knowledge of Naval/Marine Corps Aviation Life Support Systems programs and processes. Position may be offered at a higher pay grade based upon experience and/or education level. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Microsoft Outlook
Preferred: Prior military helicopter ALSS/Flight Equipment experience. Familiarity with NAVAIR 13-1 series manuals Familiarity with NAVAIR-11-100 Familiarity with Survival Equipment Asset Tracking System (SEATS) program Familiarity with COMNAVFORINST 4790.2 NAMP
