FAA opens air traffic controller applications, partners with Okla. schools

Aspiring air traffic controllers have until Nov. 4 to apply for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) next training class. To augment the number of new hires the agency can train at its own academy in Oklahoma City, the FAA has launched a new partnership with Tulsa Community College and the University of Oklahoma which will allow students to train in Tulsa or Norman, Okla., before receiving further on-the-job training.
