Air Attack Experience Requirements

(Requirements are set by the US Forest Service and are non-negotiable)

Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine Class, Instrument Rating and:

Total time:  1,500 hrs
Pilot-in-Command total: 1,200 hrs
Pilot-in-Command, as follows: -
Multi-Engine Airplane: 200 hrs
Fixed wing - past 12 months: 100 hrs
Cross Country: 500 hrs
*Mountainous terrain: 200 hrs
Night: 100 hrs
Instrument - in flight:  50 hrs
Instrument - actual/simulated:  75 hrs
**Make and Model:  25 hrs

* Mountainous terrain as defined in the Aeronautical Information Manual (Figure 5-6-2)
** Time in AC-690 will be provided by Ponderosa during training.
