THE ROLE:

Oshkosh Corporation is now seeking qualified candidates for a Captain operating our Challenger 605/650 aircraft. The two aircraft are based in Oshkosh Wisconsin (KOSH) and operate under FAR Part 91. This position is not commutable, and pilots must live within a reasonable distance from the base. Challenger 605/650 experience is preferred but not required.

At Oshkosh we are a forward leaning department that always looks for ways to improve our service, increase our overall safety and stay ahead of industry trends and regulation. This is evident by our adoption of the IS-BAO guidelines, obtaining our Stage I certification in 2011, and achieving the highest-level possible, Stage III in 2018 as well as being a NBAA Sustainability certified flight department. We have a diverse team with backgrounds in FAA Part 91, 135 and 121. An active safety culture exists along with a collaborative atmosphere where inputs from all team members are valued and considered.

Continuing education and training are highly valued. Our pilots have all attended Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) and attend recurrent sessions, and our technicians have all attained or working to attain their Master Technician certification in the Challengers as well as obtaining Inspector Authorization (IA) certification through the FAA. Team members will also have the opportunity to attend such industry events as the like NBAA International Operators Conference (IOC) as well as the Bombardier Safety Standdown.

Quality of life is a key factor when looking for a long-term position, and we strive to maintain work – life balance for our team members. A typical month for a pilot will consist of 10-12 days of flying, with 4-6 overnights and 1-2 days of weekend flying.
