Job Title- Aviation Maintenance Technician (A&P) Lead Swing Shift

Department- Elevate MRO

Reports to- Accountable Manager, Elevate Jet SLC

Location- Salt Lake City, UT (SLC)


*MUST be willing and able to work swing shift. This role is shift differential pay eligible*

Summary of position-

The Maintenance Technician Lead is a working supervisor with hand-on leadership in the performance of inspections, maintenance, and repair of customer aircraft and articles. Ensures all work is accomplished in an airworthy manner, in compliance with manufacturer's maintenance instructions and/or other approved data, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (Parts 43, 65, 145, etc.), customer requirements, and company policies and procedures. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities-

  • Assigns work tasks to the maintenance team members and ensures work is fully documented daily with accurate labor reporting and establishes a smooth transition between workdays/shifts.  
  • Ensures only approved parts, materials, and tools or equipment are used in the performance of duties and fully documenting the use of all spare parts and materials utilized on assigned aircraft or articles.  
  • Ensures all labor and materials are properly accounted for and allocated to the assigned tasks. Maintains project delivery schedules. Provides daily project updates to the management team.  
  • Ensures the team maintains a clean and orderly work environment and controls foreign object debris (FOD) potential.  
  • Maintaining job proficiency by fully participating in the company training and continuous improvement programs.  
  • Confidentiality of company business, projects, and plans is required and discussion with third party personnel or organizations is prohibited. Position requires compliance with a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement.  
  • May be appointed as a quality inspector to perform inspection duties to facilitate return to service.  
  • Ensures maintenance team members receive and document on-the-job (OJT) training.  
  • Performance of other duties as assigned and/or outlined by management


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities-

  • Minimum five (5) years of documented experience in the aircraft inspection, maintenance, and repair for the aircraft models on the Repair Station’s certificate.  
  • Must be knowledgeable with FAR’s and the use of manuals.  
  • Ability to manage projects through to completion and provide continuous supervisor updates is required. 
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English. 


Education & Experience-

  • Must have a valid and current FAA Airframe & Powerplant license.
  • High School diploma required. Must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English.
  • Formal maintenance training or equivalent documented experience in one or more of the following series- Challenger, Falcon, Global Express, Gulfstream or Honda Jet a plus


Schedule & Travel-

  • The work schedule is driven by customer requirements and schedules; however, the typical work schedule includes five 8-hour workdays weekly on either first or second shift. Overtime, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays may be required to support customer delivery schedules.
  • Travel is required for this role. Recurrent multi-day domestic and international on-site customer support trips are required.

  • FLSA Status- Full-time non-exempt.
  • Lifting requirements- up to 50lbs.
