Director, Safety

Purpose of Position
The Director, Safety implements and guides the safety program for FlightSafety employees and the incorporation of risk-based content into training programs for clients.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Strong team player who can work across multiple functions and disciplines with rapidly changing priorities and a fast pace of transformation
• Demonstrates leadership through skillful and effective written and oral communication (including strong skills with presentation tools)
• Expertise in project management principles and their applications.
• Expertise in principles and processes used in needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• In depth knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership strategies, and coordination of people and resources.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong ability to build lasting relationships with various levels of internal/external management and senior leadership
• Ability to remain calm and adapt to changes rapidly and perform in a fast-paced work environment
• Results-oriented with high drive to achieve objectives and standards with little supervision or guidance
• Strong knowledge of the following applications/systems:
• Salesforce
• FlightSafety’s billing systems/policies
• Genesis
• PMIS
• Microsoft Office Suite
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and communicate. The employee may be required to stand; walk; sit.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to view monitors, technical documents, and reference material.
The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
