Inflight Trainer Base Lead

Primary Location: CA-QC-Montréal

Schedule: Full-time

Basic Purpose of position:

Oversee all aspects of Inflight Training at the particular base. 

Key Responsibilities:

Base Management

  • Maintain monthly training schedule for FT and PT trainers.
  • Manage monthly classroom schedule per base.
  • Manage training equipment and resources per base.
  • Prepare/ Update Go Boxes for each program.
  • Maintain program binders as required.
  • Manage distribution of new programs/ revisions for the base.
  • Ensure adequate supplies of flip chart paper/ markers etc.
  • Coordinate with Inflight Training Coordinator and Inflight Training Manager for participant scheduling/ rescheduling due to failure or incomplete training.
  • Manage/oversee all training door trainers/cabin simulators and arrange repair and maintenance as required
  • Book external training facilities as required, including SIMs, fire facilities, etc
  • Provide feedback for initial schedules

Line Trainer Support/ Supervision

  • Interview and select new PT Trainers.
  • Manage the onboarding/training of new PT trainers.
  • Coordinate monthly training schedule for Line trainers.
  • Follow up on Instructor Observation Forms submitted by PT Trainers/ distribute.
  • Coach and mentor all PT trainers at Base
  • Perform class monitors on each PT trainer and provide coaching/ feedback.
  • Prepare and coordinate end of year performance reviews with all PT trainers
  • Conduct PT Trainer team meetings bi-yearly.

Course Delivery/ Training Facilitation

  • Facilitate all mandated Inflight Training programs in multiple bases as required.
  • Assist with / attend rollouts of new programs.

Program Development

  • Provide expertise/ feedback to Inflight Training Developer.
  • Sit in on new program roll-outs/ assist with facilitation of roll-outs.

Other related duties as assigned.

Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, the safety of co-workers and customers.

Qualifications:

  • Required to be a current or former Flight Attendant.
  • A certificate or diploma in Adult Education is an asset.
  • Previous training experience is required.
  • At least 6 months of Experience facilitating Flight Attendant training required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office application (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Knowledge of Crew Trac is an asset.
  • Knowledge of crew qualification requirements is an asset.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset. (French is required only if based in YUL)
  • Supervisory/management of direct reports is an asset.
  • Successfully pass the Jazz flight Attendant Initial training.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
  • Flexible schedule due to travel requirements associated with the role.
