POSITION SUMMARY

United Aviate Academy invites highly qualified candidates to apply for the Manager, Accreditation position reporting to the Director, Student Services. The Manager, Accreditation will promote a culture of assessment by working closely with faculty, program coordinators, staff, and students to systematically define and assess student learning outcomes at the program and course level, which supports the accreditation process and the United Aviate Academy program requirements. Using appropriate programs to perform analysis, this position will work closely with the Academy’s Data Analyst to monitor and assess student and faculty effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Assessment

· Create statistical reports to monitor student outcomes for all programs.

· Forecast assessment needs and develop appropriate methods for collecting data for future evaluations.

· Develop models to identify factors that most significantly influence student outcomes to inform programmatic decision-making.

· Interpret assessment findings and prepare assessment reports with particular emphasis on the quality of the assessment efforts and findings that influence programmatic decision-making.

· Design and conduct periodic faculty workshops on academic assessment and educational effectiveness topics (e.g., learning outcomes, annual program reviews, formative and summative assessment methods, design, and use of rubrics).

Accreditation

· Coordinate assessment, outcomes, and accreditation activities

· Participate in collecting and analyzing assessment data to support accreditation and program reviews, including faculty education, and disseminating results associated with the total program evaluation plan.

Research, Grants, Conferences

· Responsible for generating, analyzing, and disseminating evaluation and research findings for assigned projects in curriculum, evaluation, and learning outcomes.

· Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and the executive leadership team to determine current assessment, evaluation, and research needs and to assist in measuring program learning outcomes.

· Attend conferences, engage in professional development to benchmark best practices in curricular outcomes in aviation education, and present that information to the faculty.

· Stay informed of and engaged in the latest scientific advancements - including artificial intelligence and machine learning in assessments, outcomes, and data science related to aviation education, progression, and graduation outcomes.

· Optimize and maintain a database of key performance indicators, produce relevant dashboards for accreditation assessment, and outcome data for research purposes.

· Participate and support grant proposal efforts related to accreditation, assessment, and outcomes that will promote the mission of united Aviate Academy.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

· Education: Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of experience and education.

· Experience: 10 years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

· Education: Master's degree in a related field

· Experience: Three to Five years of experience directly related to the abovementioned roles and responsibilities.

· Accreditation Procedures - Thorough knowledge of accreditation standards including management philosophies and operations.

· Information Technology – Knowledge of office equipment and personal computer to include word processing and a variety of presentation media.

· Thorough knowledge of computer systems and business applications.

· Research and Analysis – Thorough knowledge of research and analysis methods and techniques.

· Thorough knowledge of statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.

· Time Management - Plans and organizes daily work routine. Estimates expected time of completion of elements of work and establishes a personal schedule accordingly. Implements work activities in accordance with priorities and estimated schedules.

REQUIRED ABILITIES

· Legislative – Highly developed ability to propose, interpret and evaluate legislative initiatives; to establish and maintain harmonious working relations with various agencies of government, administrative staff, political representatives, and the public. Ability to attend a variety of meetings.

· Communication – Excellent ability to communicate ideas and proposals effectively so others will understand to include preparation of reports. Ability to handle a variety of issues with tact and diplomacy and in a confidential manner.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Requires the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work.
  • Some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10
  • pounds).
  • Tasks may involve extended periods of time at keyboard or work station.
  • Availability during nights, weekends, & holidays as needed. Must be capable of maintaining a flexible schedule, including the willingness to occasionally work extended hours as per project demands and organizational needs.
