Position Summary

Provide and support leadership, management and professional development programs as part of Hawaiian Airlines’ new Learning and Development team to support leaders and managers at all levels using sound instructional design and facilitation methodology.

Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Manager:

  • Design, develop and deliver formal competency-based learning programs including, but not limited to, leadership, management, and employee professional development, known leadership models, sound instructional design methodology, and effective evaluation.
  • Evaluate course content and learning methods with an eye toward continuous improvement and learning effectiveness.
  • Conduct focus groups, informational interviews, and more as part of continued needs analysis, to keep a consistent pulse on the business needs to provide developmental support for employees of all levels.
  • Assist in fostering a learning culture within the team and organization, in support of Hawaiian Airlines mission, vision and values.
  • Act as a role model for positive and effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, department heads, and outside training consultants demonstrating our purpose & values at the forefront.
  • Drive data analytics and reporting around learning objectives and business needs.
  • Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with HA policies and guidelines.
  • Other Duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in organizational development, business, or education or a combination of education, training and experience are acceptable in lieu of the degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facilitating training and/or education delivery, or public speaking; excellent delivery and platform skills. Experience facilitating training in a virtual capacity as well as classroom based.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories, practices, and approaches.
  • Knowledge in instructional design methodology including needs analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation
  • Strong analytical skills to identify the needs of the workplace, associates, work settings and work processes through quantitative and qualitative data to assist in designing training solutions, resulting in improved performance.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with experience handling complex calendar and class schedules, registrations and communications, rosters, evaluations, completions data and event support.
  • Excellent knowledge of PC-based computer systems (MS Office Suite)
  • Ability to interact with multiple levels of management and excellent customer service and support skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to assimilate large amounts of information quickly and capable of keeping pace with fast-changing learning industry preferred

Please note that the provided salary information serves as a general guideline. Our salary is determined by a candidate's experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations. The expected pay range is $65,600 - $86,100.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 or more years experience in facilitating training and/or education delivery.
  • Certifications in L&D, Talent disciplines, OD or Leadership and/or Employee Professional Development
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), delivery platforms or tracking and reporting systems for TD/L&D Program participation and completion. Data analytics proficiency in learning effectiveness.
  • Graduate degree in organizational development, business, or education or some combination of education, training and experience in lieu of the degree
